Job description

The Functional Neuroimaging Research Line (https://www.iit.it/research/lines/functional-neuroimaging), at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Rovereto, Italy, is seeking a Postdoc interested in studying the neural basis of connectivity disruption in brain disorders.

The selected candidate will work in the framework of the ERC-funded project ‘Neural drivers of functional disconnectivity in brain disorders’ (DisConn), Grant Agreement 802371.

The research aims at identifying the general neural and cellular principles governing the assembly of spontaneous neural activity and its breakdown in developmental disorders. We address these questions at the level of identified cell types by combining neural manipulations with cutting-edge functional MRI methods.

Training in neuroscience, experience in electrophysiological recordings or opto/chemo-genetics and viral techniques are recommended. We value candidates that are proactive, highly motivated, and who are willing to interact with both experimental and computational neuroscientists.

The successful candidate will join a thriving neuroscience environment at the Center for Neuroscience and Cognitive Systems of IIT, in partnership with the University of Trento.
